- 17 Sep 2026dronesNight of 17 September: drones struck the Slavneft-YANOS refinery. Governor Mikhail Yevrayev confirmed damage to the plant and firefighting under way; 65 drones were claimed downed over the region and the road out of the city towards Moscow was closed. The governor later said the fire had been fully extinguished. No casualties.
- 28 Aug 2026dronesMorning of 28 August: drones attacked Yaroslavl around 5:30 a.m. — residents of the Frunzensky district heard a series of muffled explosions as air defences engaged. Monitoring Telegram channels reported a fire at the Slavneft-YANOS refinery; there is no official confirmation — governor Mikhail Evraev said only that "the necessary measures are being taken". The indirect signs match the 6 August strike: the exit road towards Moscow was closed at the junction of Moskovsky Prospekt and the South-Western ring road (right by the refinery), Tunoshna airport suspended arrivals and departures, and two kindergartens (No. 98 and No. 28) were closed for damage assessment. As of the morning Russian outlets called the reports of a hit on the refinery unconfirmed; the Ukrainian General Staff summary had not yet been published at collection time. The refinery, with a capacity of about 15 million tonnes a year, is among Russia's five largest; counting the 6 August strike, Astra tallies at least seven fires there in 2026 alone.
- 6 Aug 2026dronesNight of 6 August: the heaviest attack the region has seen - the governor said drone debris struck the tanks of the Slavneft-YANOS refinery (about 15 million tonnes a year, fifth in Russia for primary refining) and started a fire; the road out of the city towards Moscow was closed.
- 27 Jul 2026Night of 27 July: drone attack on the Yaroslavl refinery (Slavneft-YANOS, ~15 Mt/year) — fire in the industrial zone; the Moscow exit road was closed and the airport suspended flights.
