- 25 Sep 2026dronesNight of 25 September: during an attack by about 50 drones on Rostov oblast the Novoshakhtinsk oil products plant was damaged and temporarily halted operations (Governor Yury Slyusar). No casualties.
- 25 Aug 2026dronesNight of 25 August: the Novoshakhtinsk oil products plant (Krasnosulinsky district, Rostov region) was damaged in the overnight drone attack and temporarily halted operations. Governor Yuri Slyusar: «According to updated information, the Novoshakhtinsk refinery was damaged as a result of the overnight enemy attack on Rostov region. The plant has temporarily suspended operations». Neither the governor nor the company says what exactly was hit or when the plant will restart. Around thirty drones were claimed downed over the region overnight — in Gukovo, Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Novoshakhtinsk and in the Kamensky, Tarasovsky and Rodionovo-Nesvetaysky districts; in Novoshakhtinsk itself debris damaged four private houses. Russian outlets put the plant's capacity at 5.6 million tonnes a year. The plant has burned after drone strikes before — in March and June 2024, and in August 2025 the fire took five days to put out, according to Fontanka. Ukraine's General Staff did not separately confirm hitting the Novoshakhtinsk refinery; its summary for this night names the Afipsky refinery.
