- 13 Sep 2026dronesNight of 13 September: drones attacked the TANECO refining complex in Nizhnekamsk. Ukraine's General Staff reported that one of the storage tanks caught fire. Nizhnekamsk mayor Radmir Belyaev confirmed a fire at one of the city's enterprises and said production continued.
- 7 Sep 2026dronesNight of 7 September: a mass drone attack on Nizhnekamsk, a drone alert in Tatarstan from 01:57, and airports in Kazan, Begishevo and Bugulma closed. Zelensky said long-range weapons had been used against refineries in Tatarstan. Tatarstan authorities acknowledged damage to civilian and industrial sites from falling debris and said production had not been disrupted; no plant was named.
- 20 Aug 2026FP-1Night of 20 August: Ukraine's General Staff confirmed a strike on the TANECO refinery in Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan) — a direct hit followed by a fire on the plant's grounds. The Ukrainian manufacturer Fire Point said the strike was carried out by FP-1 drones; the monitoring channels Exilenova+ and Supernova+ published video of the impacts. The Russian side denies the hit: the mayor of Nizhnekamsk, Radmir Belyaev, said air defences were repelling a massive attack, and the republic's authorities stated that industrial facilities, including the Nizhnekamsk petrochemical complexes, were undamaged — acknowledging only disruptions to the industrial cluster's operation and damage to residential buildings. The drones flew some 1,200 km from the border. This is the third strike on the complex since late July (31 July and 10 August).
- 10 Aug 2026Night of 10 August: drones flew about 1,100 km and struck the petrochemical hub of Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan - Ukraine's General Staff confirmed a fire at the TANECO refinery, while Bloomberg, The Moscow Times and Astra report that the neighbouring Nizhnekamskneftekhim plant burned as well; Russian authorities name no facility. Thirteen people were killed, including a child, more than 70 sought medical help, and Tatarstan declared a day of mourning.
