- 21 Aug 2026Night of 21 August: Ukraine's General Staff reported a strike on the Marinovka military airfield in Volgograd Oblast (Kalachyovsky district) — the extent of the damage is being assessed. Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the strike, naming the airfield as the night's second target after the Perm refinery. Russian authorities said nothing about the airfield: the Russian Defence Ministry reported 325 drones intercepted overnight over 16 regions, Volgograd Oblast among them, and about ten flights were delayed at Volgograd airport.
